DETROIT, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Defenseman Niklas Kronwall's first NHL goal turned out to be the game-winner Wednesday night as Detroit coasted to a 4-2 victory over Chicago.
The Blackhawks road winless streak was extended to 15 games.

Chicago has not won away from home since Nov. 7 while the Red Wings have lost just one of their previous 13 home games.
Detroit had a 2-1 lead with 5 1/2 minutes left in the second period when Kronwall called for the puck, got a pass from Mathieu Dandenault in the high slot and wristed a shot into the top right corner of the net.
Defensemen Jason Woolley and Nicklas Lidstrom also scored for the Red Wings, who snapped a two-game losing streak and avenged a 3-0 road loss on Dec. 28.
