NHL: Nashville 3, St. Louis 1

NASHVILLE, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Chris Mason stopped 25 shots for his second straight victory and David Legwand snapped a tie with 13:42 left Saturday as Nashville beat St. Louis, 3-1.

Mason, who recorded his first NHL win Thursday against Colorado, made 20 saves over the first two periods and was beaten only by Erik Boguniecki early in the third.

Legwand scored his 10th goal just over three minutes later, converting a pass from defenseman Marek Zidlicky in the low slot.

Rookie Jordin Tootoo and Jeremy Stevenson scored their second goals of the season. Tootoo, who last scored on Oct. 23, also set up Stevenson's first goal since Dec. 18. Zidlicky also assisted on the tally.
