NBA: Toronto 83, Phoenix 73

TORONTO, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Donyell Marshall had 15 points and 15 rebounds Sunday to help the Toronto Raptors beat Phoenix, 83-73.

Marshall's three-pointer snapped a 55-55 tie with 27 seconds left in the third quarter and ignited a 20-6 spurt that allowed the Raptors to take control. He had seven points during the run.

Vince Carter scored 23 points for Toronto, which won for only the fourth time in its last 11 games, and improved to 1-1 on a five-game homestand.

Stephon Marbury scored 17 points, Joe Johnson 14, and Shawn Marion contributed 11 and 14 rebounds for the Suns.

Phoenix fell to 0-2 on its four-game road trip and has dropped five of its last seven.
