BALTIMORE, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Gary Anderson made a 46-yard field goal with 29 seconds left Saturday to give Tennessee a 20-17 victory over Baltimore in the AFC wild card round.
Titans quarterback Steve McNair struggled for the much of the contest against the Ravens' vaunted defense. But the NFL's co-MVP was at his best when he had to be to set up the 44-year-old Anderson.
Taking over at his own 44-yard line with 2:44 remaining, McNair went 3-of-3 for 22 yards on the winning drive.
Anderson split the uprights with his longest kick of the season. The NFL's al-time leading scorer and oldest player kicked a 45-yard field goal earlier in the fourth quarter.
McNair threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Justin McCareins in the third quarter for the Titans (13-4), who stopped a five-game losing streak against their former division rivals.
Tennessee will meet New England or Kansas City next weekend in the divisional playoffs.
Anthony Wright threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to tight end Todd Heap with 4 1/2 minutes remaining for the Ravens (10-7), tying it at 17-17.
