NHL: Phoenix 6, Dallas 0

DALLAS, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Brian Boucher made 35 saves on his 27th birthday Friday night as Phoenix got goals from six different players to crush Dallas, 6-0.

Phoenix has won two in a row over the Stars after going winless in the previous eight meeting in the series. In their second trip to Dallas this season, the Coyotes scored twice in each period and coasted to their most lopsided victory since Jan. 23, 2003 at Calgary.

It took just 3:44 for the Coyotes to get going.

Ladislav Nagy opened the scoring with 18th of the year as he chipped in a rebound of Daymond Langkow's shot. Nearly 13 minutes later, Chris Gratton doubled the lead and chased Ron Tugnutt by taking advantage of a turnover by the goaltender.

Tugnutt's replacement, Marty Turco, was not much better as he allowed goals to Shane Doan and Brian Savage in the second.
