Slaughter, 26, is joining his third team this season. He also played for Jacksonville and Green Bay.

In October, he was released by the Jaguars after getting arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at two men in a passing car. He signed with the Packers in November but didn't play in any games before being released earlier this month.

Slaughter took the roster spot of linebacker Adalius Thomas, who was placed on injured reserve with an elbow injury. Thomas had 42 tackles and four sacks in 13 games this season.

The Ravens (8-6) are tied with Cincinnati for first place in the AFC North Division with two games left.
