PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Aaron McKie scored 20 points and led a third-quarter rally Wednesday night, giving Philadelphia an 87-76 decision over Miami.
Rookie Kyle Korver scored all seven of his points in a fourth-quarter surge. Miami had its four-game winning streak snapped.
The 76ers again won without NBA leading scorer Allen Iverson, improving to 3-1 without their injured superstar. They have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with the Heat.
Philadelphia trailed the entire first half and was still in a 48-38 hole early in the third quarter when McKie came alive, fueling a 15-2 run with three straight three-pointers.
A jumper by Eric Snow early in the final period gave the 76ers the lead for good at 63-61 before Korver emerged, making a pair of 20-footers and a three-pointer that beat the shot clock in less than 90 seconds.
