Sixers activate Glenn Robinson

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia 76ers have activated forward Glenn Robinson from the injured list.

Robinson, acquired in the off-season to provide scoring punch alongside Allen Iverson, has played just four games this season, averaging 15.5 points. He has missed 18 games, three for an NBA suspension and 15 with a left ankle sprain that landed him on the IL on Nov. 25.

The two-time All-Star has averaged 21.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 641 games with Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.

Philadelphia also signed forward Zendon Hamilton, who was with Golden State in the preseason and most recently played for Yakima in the CBA.

In order to sign Hamilton, who becomes the 13th player on the active roster, the Sixers were granted a hardship exception by the NBA because of their injury situation.

Hamilton has played for Denver, Toronto, and the Los Angeles Clippers. He has career averages of 5.7 points and 4.4 rebounds.

Despite all their injuries, the Sixers are in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 12-10 record.
