COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Rem Murray and Scott Hartnell scored 21 seconds apart in the second period Thursday night as Nashville defeated Columbus, 4-2.
The Predators ran their team-record winning streak to six games. Tomas Vokoun made 37 saves to keep the streak going.
Nashville improved to 10-2-0 in the last 12 games, a run that started with a 4-3, come-from-behind victory at Detroit. Columbus has dropped the last five meetings in the series.
After Vokoun made 11 stops in a scoreless first period, the Predators struck quickly late in the second. Murray opened the scoring by deflecting defenseman Jason York's point shot and Hartnell doubled the lead with a rebound goal.
Greg Johnson made it 3-0 at 13:29 of the third.
