Patrick Ramsey injured in practice

ASHBURN, Va., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Ailing quarterback Patrick Ramsey of Washington had to curtail practice Wednesday after he "tweaked" his right foot, according to Coach Steve Spurrier.

"Patrick practiced about all afternoon and right at the end of practice he slipped on sort of a dirt spot on the field," Spurrier said. "Our trainers wanted to take him in and give him a little treatment and I think he's going to get an x-ray to make sure nothing has happened. He was firing the ball around fine today and he looked like he was ready to play."

Ramsey, who has not played the past two weeks because of a bone bruise and the aggravation of an old fracture, which may need off-season surgery.

Officially, he is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. If he is unable to play, Tim Hasselbeck would start in his place for the second game in a row.

Rookie Gibran Hamdan is the team's third quarterback on the roster.
