Lange NLH player of the month

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Washington Capitals center Robert Lang, who led all NHL scorers with 22 points, on Tuesday was named the NHL Offensive Player of the Month.

Lang collected points in each of his 14 games and owned a plus-8 rating. Earning a point on 45 percent of his team's goals in November, he has a 15-game points-scoring streak - the longest this season and the longest by a Capitals player since Peter Bondra's 15-game run in 1997-98. It is two games shy of the club record set twice by Mike Gartner, most recently in 1984-85.
