BALTIMORE, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Ray Lewis returned one of Jeff Garcia's four interceptions 29 yards for a touchdown Sunday afternoon as Baltimore destroyed San Francisco, 44-6.
After missing the last three games with an ankle injury, Garcia regained his starting job from Tim Rattay, who had played well to fuel a quarterback controversy.
Garcia added more fuel to the fire with a miserable day. He completed 14-of-29 passes for 112 yards against the aggressive Ravens before being pulled in favor of Rattay in the fourth quarter.
The Lewis score gave Baltimore a 24-6 lead with under a minute remaining in the first half.
Anthony Wright added a pair of touchdown passes and Jamal Lewis ran for a score for Baltimore (7-5), which remained tied with Cincinnati for first place in the AFC North. The Ravens host the Bengals next Sunday.
Todd Peterson kicked a pair of field goals for the 49ers (5-7), who fell to 0-6 on the road.
