Just under 6 1/2 minutes later, Tkachuk blasted a slap shot from the point past screened goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin for his team-leading 12th goal.

St. Louis could not cash in on a power play in overtime but secured a point on the road against a Tampa Bay team that had been 8

0 when leading after two periods.

Fredrik Modin gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead with 8:22 left in the first period, ending a team-record scoreless drought of 160 minutes. Tampa Bay had been blanked in its previous two games.
