NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Baron Davis scored 23 points and David Wesley added 17 Wednesday night as New Orleans beat Utah for the fourth straight time, 96-89.
The Hornets continued their dominance from three-point range, making 12 of 24 from long range to increase their league-leading total to 80.
New Orleans pulled away in the second quarter, when it scored 30 points. The Hornets hit 10 of 16 shots in the period, including five three-pointers. Steve Smith scored seven points during an 11-2 spurt that gave the Hornets a 45-35 cushion with 3:07 to go.
New Orleans had its largest lead at halftime, 52-39.
Matt Harpring scored 20 points and Andrei Kirilenko and DeShawn Stevenson added 15 apiece for the Jazz, who made just one of 12 three-pointers.
