NHL: Columbus 1, Montreal 1 (OT)

MONTREAL, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Rick Nash scored a power-play goal with 6:56 remaining in the second period and Marc Denis made 30 saves Tuesday as Columbus tied Montreal, 1-1.

The goal was Nash's team-leading ninth, a figure he did not reach as a rookie last season until his 38th game. He also keyed a defensive effort that limited Montreal to two shots in the first period.

The Canadiens came on in the second, getting the first nine shots of the period. But Nash netted his fifth power-play goal of the season to tie.

Rookie Michael Ryder was the only Canadien to beat Denis as his shot deflected off the stick of Blue Jackets defenseman Luke Richardson at 2:49 of the second.

Just over 10 minutes later, Nash drove in David Vyborny's centering pass from behind the net, getting a point for Denis and the Blue Jackets.
