Carr questionable for Cincinnati game

HOUSTON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Quarterback David Carr might play Sunday for the Houston Texans at Cincinnati.

Carr, in his second year out of Fresno State, missed his first start as a Texan last week in the upset of Carolina because of a sprained ankle.

He tested the ankle at practice Wednesday and Thursday and officially was declared questionable for the Bengals.

"He did fine with the things we asked him to do," said Coach Dom Capers. "We didn't have him do everything. He worked on a limited basis and took a limited number of snaps, but I thought he did well with the snaps he took."

The plan is for Carr to take all the reps in practice on Friday if there are no setbacks. He admitted if he is not 100 percent on game day, he will not play.

Against the Panthers, backup Tony Banks was 13-of-19 for 154 yards and a game-winning touchdown pass with no interceptions.
