COL FB: Maryland 59, North Carolina 21

COLLEGE PARK, Md., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Scott McBrien threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns and ran for two more TDs Saturday as Maryland scored the final 45 points in a 59-21 rout of North Carolina.

Latrez Harrison had two touchdown catches and Josh Allen added one through the air and one on the ground for Maryland (6-3), which trailed, 21-14, before scoring 31 points in the final 7:44 of the first half.

The Terps tied the game on a 14-yard pass from McBrien to Harrison and took the lead for good, 24-21, on a 46-yard field goal by Nick Novak.

Maryland broke open the game on a 43-yard TD pass to Allen, a 67-yard strike to JoJo Walker and a five-yard run by Allen in the final 3:35 before the break.

McBrien completed 15-of-25 passes as the Terps outgained the Tar Heels, 612-385.
