TORONTO, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Marc Savard scored his second goal of the game with 15 seconds remaining in overtime Monday as Atlanta rallied for a 3-2 triumph over Toronto.
The Maple Leafs built a 2-0 lead on goals by Gary Roberts and Tom Fitzgerald and were less than 10 minutes away from a fourth straight win.
Savard beat Joe Nieuwendyk before putting a shot by goaltender Ed Belfour. Just 22 seconds later, Jeff Cowan's shot got stuck in Belfour's equipment before it trickled through.
Belfour nearly cost his team a chance at a point when he was called for roughing with 61 seconds remaining in regulation.
In overtime, Toronto had a 4-on-3 power play as defenseman Andy Sutton elbowed Tucker behind the Atlanta net.
Atlanta took advantage of a 3-on-3 as Savard lifted a 38-foot wrister past Belfour for his fifth career overtime tally.
