PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Donovan McNabb threw a four-yard touchdown pass to fullback Jon Ritchie in the fourth quarter Sunday as Philadelphia beat the New York Jets, 24-17.
Chad Pennington threw an interception in the fourth quarter that helped set up the TD pass.
The NFL's top-rated quarterback last season, Pennington missed the first six games with a fractured and dislocated left wrist. He made his 2003 season debut with 5:37 left in the first half when he replaced Vinny Testaverde.
With the Jets clinging to a 17-14 lead, Pennington was intercepted by strong safety Michael Lewis.
McNabb led a seven-play, 57-yard drive. He had a 10-yard run and Duce Staley also broke off an 18-yard run to the Jets 4.
One play after Staley's run, McNabb rolled to his right and found Ritchie for a touchdown, giving the Eagles a 21-17 lead with 6:42 remaining.
