SEATTLE, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Shaun Alexander rushed for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Marcus Trufant had a late interception Sunday as Seattle beat the Chicago Bears, 24-17.

The Seahawks, 5-1 for the first time and holding a one-game lead over the St. Louis Rams atop the NFC West, have three victories in the final three minutes this season.

Last week, Seattle blew a 17-point halftime lead before rallying to defeat the San Francisco 49ers, 20-19, on a late field goal.

This time, the Seahawks took a 17-6 lead into the fourth quarter before Chicago tied the game on a one-yard run by Stanley Pritchett with 4:12 left and a two-point conversion run by Chris Chandler in which the 38-year-old quarterback dove into the end zone amid a bevy of defenders.

Alexander scored late in the final quarter to give Seattle its final lead.
