Matt Bryant waits for MRI results

NEW YORK, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Veteran placekicker Matt Bryant of the New York Giants is awaiting results of the MRI on his injured right hamstring.

Bryant suffered the injury on a 43-yard field goal attempt Sunday on the final play of the first half in a 23-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He said he felt his hamstring pop as he kicked the ball.

"I've never had a pulled hamstring before," he said. "It's just a freak thing."

As the teams headed for the locker room, Bryant was placed on a cart and driven off the field.

Bryant's placekicking chores were given to punter Jeff Feagles, who badly missed his only field goal try.
