PISCATAWAY, N.J., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Bryan Randall passed for 250 yards and four touchdowns Saturday afternoon as No. 4 Virginia Tech blasted Rutgers, 48-22.
Also for the Hokies, Kevin Jones carried 27 times for 121 yards, marking the sixth time he had gone over the 100-yard mark in his last eight starts and the third game in a row.
Rutgers (3-2, 0-1 Big East) entered the game with wins in three of its first four games for the first time since 1993, which was the year after its last victory over Virginia Tech.
The Scarlet Knights grabbed a quick 7-0 lead, Virginia Tech (5-0, 1-0) answered with three scores just as quickly and 41 straight points overall.
Randall completed 16-of-21 passes as the Hokies beat the Scarlet Knights for the 11th straight time.
