PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- UCLA capitalized on four turnovers Saturday to defeat No. 17 Washington, 46-16.
Rodney Leslie recovered a fumble in the end zone and Jarrad Page returned an interception 24 yards for a score.
Washington held a 16-7 halftime lead before Dave Ball hit Cody Pickett from the blind side. Leslie, a defensive end, pounced on the loose ball in the end zone and UCLA (3-2) was on its way to a 39-point second half.
The Bruins marched 91 yards on 14 plays and took a 22-16 lead on a one-yard TD run by Manuel White.
Washington (3-2) drove deep into UCLA territory before Leslie intercepted a tipped pass.
Drew Olson completed 16-of-24 passes for 258 yards for UCLA,
Pickett completed 26-of-42 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown, but he threw two interception and had just 61 passing yards after halftime.
