Jason Elam's 41-yard field goal with 3:13 left provided the fina margin.

Harrington threw an incomplete pass to rookie Charles Rogers on a 4th-and-10 pass with 1:27 to play.

The Broncos (4-0) looked flat one week before meeting unbeaten division foe Kansas City.

Denver's star running back Clinton Portis was out due to a bruised sternum.

Harrington completed 15-of-33 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns for the Lions, who lost their 18th straight road game and third in a row overal.
