Tennessee 24, Florida 10

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Casey Clausen completed a 48-yard touchdown pass to James Bank at the end of the first half Saturday afternoon to help Tennessee turn back Florida, 24-10.

He also had a 57-yard completion to set up another, and Jabari Davis had a pair of touchdown runs for the 12th-ranked Volunteers, who have won back-to-back games at "The Swamp" in Gainesville after losing the previous seven.

The Volunteers (3-0, 1-0 SEC East) also made amends for a 30-13 home loss to Florida last year in which they fumbled eight times, losing three. Tennessee is 3-0 under Coach Phillip Fulmer for just the fourth time in 13 years.

"I can say this is a huge, huge win for us," Fulmer said. "It is a tough place to play and this is a good Florida football team."

Clausen completed 12-of-23 passes for 235 yards and a large chunk of his yardage came on the two big pass plays.

Florida (2-2, 0-1) cut its deficit to 17-10 on a five-yard scoring run by DeShawn Wynn one minute into the fourth quarter.

"We did some good things and we did some things that weren't as good," said Florida Coach Ron Zook. "We'll look at the tape, and if we have to make come corrections, we will."
