BALI, Indonesia, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Elena Dementieva of Russia won the finale of the Wismilak International tennis tournament on Sunday, beating top-seeded Chanda Rubin of the United States.

"It was one of my best matches of the year," Dementieva said. "I'm definitely a late starter usually and start to play from the end of the second set, but today from the first ball to the end I was very aggressive. I really like the way I played today."

Rubin was foiled in her bid to win three tournaments in one season for the first time in her career.
