In the second inning, Wilson gave the Pirates an early lead with a solo shot. His two-run blast in the sixth made it 4-1, and was followed by another homer from Jason Bay.

Wilson also had an RBI single in a three-run rally in the seventh that put the Pirates up, 8-1.

Fogg (9-8) won for the third time in his last four decisions, scattering 10 hits. He had nine strikeouts and did not issue a walk.

Each of Wilson's home runs came off Reds starter John Bale (1-2), who allowed five runs and six hits in three innings.
