Lopez (7-9) bounced back from his last start, a 6-4 loss at Oakland on Thursday in which he surrendered six runs in three innings. He yielded seven singles and three walks, striking out four in his third complete game of the season and second in three starts.

The Orioles gave Lopez all the support he needed in the first inning when they took advantage of three errors to score three runs. They added two runs in the third against starter Tim Hudson (14-5), who did not come out for the fourth inning in his shortest outing of the season.
