Pittsburgh 15, Dallas 14

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Dante Brown scored on an 18-yard run with less than five minutes left Thursday night and Pittsburgh made a two-point conversion to down Dallas, 15-14.

Brian St. Pierre hit fullback Wes Ours on the two-point attempt to give Pittsburgh its first exhibition win of the season.

St. Pierre, Pittsburgh's third-string quarterback, engineered an eight-play, 70-yard drive.

Dallas had a chance to regain the lead, driving to its own 49-yard line. On fourth down, Steelers linebacker Alonzo Jackson forced a fumble by quarterback Clint Stoerner and linebacker Clint Kriewaldt recovered with just under two minutes left.

Quincy Carter started for Dallas and completed eight of 12 passes for 67 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown to Joey Galloway in the second quarter.
