LANDOVER, Md., Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Tom Brady got one touchdown and Antowain Smith ran for another, leading the New England Patriots to a 20-13 win over the Washington Redskins.

Showing he has recovered from a shoulder injury that hampered him late last season, Brady connected with David Patten on an 85-yard scoring strike late in the first quarter. He completed 9-of-18 passes for 145 yards.
