JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Rookie Byron Leftwich threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Donald Hayes with 62 seconds remaining Friday night, giving Jacksonville a 27-23 win over Miami.
Leftwich had held out for the first 19 days of training camp before reporting this week. He drove Jacksonville 70 yards in 10 plays to the winning touchdown.

Jacksonville trailed by three entering the final period, but Joe Smith put the Jaguars in front for the first time on a two-yard run with 12:59 remaining.
Miami regained the advantage on Leonard Henry's seven-yard scoring run with 9:39 to play.
