Boston 7, Baltimore 5

BALTIMORE, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- David Ortiz hit a pair of solo shots Sunday as the Boston Red Sox homered six times during a rain-plagued 7-5 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles.

The Orioles were looking for their first three-game home sweep of Boston since 1974, but Baltimore righthanders Rick Helling and Kerry Ligtenberg had trouble keeping the Red Sox in the park.
