Tampa Bay 7, Toronto 6

TORONTO, July 31 (UPI) -- Damian Rolls had three hits Thursday afternoon, including a two-run homer, as Tampa Bay beat Toronto, 7-6, to complete a sweep at SkyDome.

Rolls had singles in his first two at-bats and grounded into a forceout to plate a run as the Devil Rays built a 5-1 lead. He led off the eighth inning with a blast over the wall in left-centerfield, his sixth home run of the season a 6-3 lead.

Antonio Perez added an RBI double later in the eighth to give Tampa Bay a four-run advantage.

All-Star Lance Carter notched his 18th save in 24 opportunities as Tampa Bay completed July with a 14-12 record, a franchise mark for wins in a month, and completed its first ever sweep at SkyDome.

Jorge Sosa (4-8) allowed two runs and three hits in 5 1/3 innings for the win.

Mark Hendrickson (6-8) was reached for five runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings as Toronto (54-54) fell to .500 for the first time since May 22.
