PHILADELPHIA, July 30 (UPI) -- Ricky Ledee's RBI triple snapped a tie in the seventh inning Wednesday night, giving Philadelphia a 4-2 victory over Los Angeles.
Ledee's triple off Paul Shuey (4-3) snapped a none-for-13 slump against Los Angeles this year and scored Marlon Byrd, who led off the inning with a single.
Tom Martin replaced Shuey and gave up a sacrifice fly to Jim Thome.
Turk Wendell (2-2) tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to record the win. After Dan Plesac got the final two outs in the eighth, Jose Mesa worked around a pair of hits in the ninth for his 21st save.
