Jones, Inkster share Evian lead

EVIAN-LES-BAINES, France, July 25 (UPI) -- Rosie Jones kept a share of the lead Friday at the Evian Masters, shooting a 5-under-par 67 in the French heat.

Jones had six birdies and a bogey to reach 14-under 202, tied with Juli Inkster atop the leaderboard with 18 holes to play. Inkster matched the Evian Masters Golf Club course and tournament record with a 64.

Hee Won-Han of Korea was third at 204, a stroke better than Sophie Gustafson of Sweden.

Jones has played sparingly lately because her 74-year-old mother, Doris, suffered a major stroke some six weeks ago.
