Los Angeles 1, Colorado 0 (11 inn.)

LOS ANGELES, July 24 (UPI) -- Shawn Green singled in Alex Cora with one out in the 11th inning Thursday as Los Angeles handed Colorado its seventh loss in nine games, 1-0.

Cora led off the 11th with a single and was sacrificed along by Jolbert Cabrera. Green lined a 2-1 pitch from Javier Lopez (2-1) up the middle and Cora easily beat the throw from center fielder Preston Wilson to score the game's lone run.

It was the second hit of the game for Green, who is eight for 16 in his last four games.

Paul Shuey (4-2) replaced Tom Martin in the top of the 11th with two outs and a runner at first and was credited with the win when Todd Helton was thrown out trying to advance on a pitch in the dirt.
