After failing to make it out of the seventh inning in each of his last six starts, Wolf (11-5) went the distance, scattering three singles and a double. The lefthander walked three and struck out four en route to his second shutout of the season and first career win at Wrigley Field in five appearances.

Ledee gave Wolf all the support he needed in the second inning, belting a one-out solo home run. Thome added insurance in the third, blasting a two-run shot to surpass 1,000 RBI in his career.
