Florida 9, Montreal 1

MIAMI, July 22 (UPI) -- Carl Pavano pitched a four-hitter and Derrek Lee had a home run and four RBI Tuesday night to give Florida a 9-1 decision over Montreal.

Pavano (7-10) walked one and struck out two for his third career complete game and second this season. The righthander pitched a five-hitter May 26, also against Montreal.

A former Expo, Pavano retired nine of the first 10 batters and did not give up a hit until the fourth inning, when Jose Vidro singled to shallow center. Vidro later scored Montreal's lone run on a sacrifice fly by Vladimir Guerrero.

Lee homered in the sixth to give Florida a 2-1 lead, then drove in Ivan Rodriguez in the seventh with a sacrifice fly, making it 5-1. In the eighth, he capped the scoring with a single, which drove in Miguel Cabrera.
