Detroit 70, Indiana 68

INDIANAPOLIS, July 16 (UPI) -- Deanna Nolan hit a jump shot with three-tenths of a second to go Wednesday night that gave Detroit a 70-68 win over Indiana.

Nolan scored a career-high 27 points as Indiana handed Detroit its first home loss of the season. The Fever had won 13 straight on its own court dating to July 22, 2002.

Indiana All-Star Natalie Williams threw a pass out of bounds with one second left, allowing the Shock to set up a final play. Nolan took the inbounds pass from Swin Cash on the right side and sank a jumper at the buzzer.

Nolan made 10 of 18 shots from the field and was three of eight from three-point range. Detroit moved into a first-place tie with Charlotte in the Eastern Conference.
