OAKLAND, Calif., July 12 (UPI) -- Oakland shut down the Baltimore Orioles 2-0 Friday behind the three-hit pitching of Tim Hudson.

Hudson (7-3) notched nine strikeouts and issued one walk for his first complete game since last season.

The game was scoreless until the seventh inning when the Athletics got both their runs in a rally that included doubles by Terrence Long and Mark Ellis.

Rodrigo Lopez (2-5) took the loss.
