Indiana 85, Detroit 54

INDIANAPOLIS, July 6 (UPI) -- Tamika Catchings scored 17 points and Kristen Rasmussen added 16 Sunday as Indiana posted the most lopsided victory in franchise history, 85-54 over Detroit.

Indiana improved to 7-0 at home, handing Detroit its first road loss in five games. The Fever set a team record with 19 steals, including six by Catchings, and matched team marks for assists (23) and 3-pointers (11).

After Detroit's Deanna Nolan opened the scoring with a pair of free throws, Indiana immediately established control with a 17-2 spurt that featured six points from Natalie Williams. Bridget Pettis' 3-pointer with six seconds to go before halftime gave the Fever a 42-24 advantage.

Indiana's previous record for largest margin of victory was a 79-54 rout of Orlando on June 17, 2000.
