"I am ready to meet this challenge and I am grateful to (team owner) Sen. (Herbert) Kohl for this opportunity," said Harris. "Over the past four years, I have worked with one of the best general managers in the NBA, and my responsibilities and abilities have increased. I'm confident we will all work together to position the team well for the coming season and the future."

Harris, 40, joined Milwaukee in 1988 as a scout/video coordinator under his father, Del Harris, the Bucks' coach from 1987-91.

Larry Harris was named the team's Director of Scouting in 1996, and promoted to Director of Player Personnel in 1998. In 2001, he was named Assistant General Manager.
