Fernandez leads U.S. Senior Open

TOLEDO, Ohio, June 27 (UPI) -- Argentina's Vicente Fernandez shot a 7-under 64 Friday that vaulted him one shot in front of Tom Watson after two rounds of the U.S. Senior Open.

It was the lowest second round in the history of the tournament and came within one shot of the all-time tourney record. Only six other players had sub-par rounds Friday at the Inverness Club course.
