Montreal 5, Pittsburgh 2

PITTSBURGH, June 19 (UPI) -- Tomo Ohka pitched six strong innings Thursday and Ron Calloway hit a pinch-hit two-run homer as Montreal topped Pittsburgh, 5-2.

The win snapped a season-high six-game losing streak for the Expos, who finished 8-14 on a road trip which started May 26 at Florida and extended to Philadelphia, Puerto Rico, Seattle, Oakland, and Pittsburgh. In all, they traveled 11,380 miles.

Ohka (5-7), who was 0-2 in his last three starts after allowing 16 runs in 11 innings, yielded one run and six hits.

The Expos snapped a 1-1 tie with two runs in the seventh against Salomon Torres (4-2).

Brad Wilkerson hit a sacrifice fly off reliever Joe Beimel, and Edwards Guzman followed with an RBI single, giving Montreal a 3-1 lead.

An RBI single by Randall Simon in the bottom of the seventh pulled the Pirates within 3-2, but Calloway delivered his two-run homer in the ninth.

Rocky Biddle worked a hitless ninth for his 18th save.
