CHICAGO, June 19 (UPI) -- Chicago Bulls guard Jay Williams was hospitalized Thursday night after he was involved in a motorcycle accident, team officials said.
Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam said Williams was injured Thursday and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital. The team would not divulge the extent of Williams' injuries until it can gather more information, Hallam said.

The Chicago Tribune reported on its website that the injuries included a broken leg.
Williams was the second overall pick in last year's NBA draft and averaged 9.5 points and 4.7 assists during a rocky rookie season in which he sometimes clashed with coach Bill Cartwright.
