Jaguars sign Safety Johndale Carty

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 27 (UPI) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars picked up some help for their special teams on Tuesday by signing safety Johndale Carty.

Carty spent his first four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, making 42 special teams tackles in 61 games. He has 38 tackles as a reserve safety and two career interceptions.

The 25-year-old native of Hialeah, Fla., will serve as a backup to strong safety Donovan Darius and free safety Marlon McCree in Jacksonville.
