The 27-year-old Louisiana native won her sixth career title and first since August when she beat Lindsay Davenport at Los Angeles. She reached the final here last year, losing to Monica Seles.

Rubin is seeded eighth at this year's French Open, which begins on Monday. She faces Slovakian Henrieta Nagyova in her opening-round match.

Sanchez Lorenzo was the first wild card to reach a tour final this year, but could not capture her second career title. Her lone tournament triumph came at Knokke-Heist in 1999.

The 25-year-old Sanchez Lorenzo will face No. 13 Elena Dementieva of Russia in the first round in Paris.
