The other three-homer game for Jenkins came April 28, 2001 against Montreal. He became the second Brewer in less than a month to accomplish the feat. Richie Sexson connected three times against Atlanta on April 25.

Sexson added a three-run homer in the eighth off Hackman to cap a five-run inning and help Milwaukee to its first three-game winning streak of the season.

Franklin (3-4) was in complete control in his first shutout and complete game of his career. The only hits he allowed were singles to Rondell White in the first and Ramon Vazquez in the ninth. Franklin walked two and struck out five.
