TORONTO, May 13 (UPI) -- Travis Lee's solo homer sparked a three-run second inning and Jared Sandberg's two-run blast in the sixth lifted the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to a 7-5 win Tuesday night over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Leading off the second inning, Lee launched a 2-1 pitch from Toronto starter Tanyon Sturtze (3-4) into the right field stands. One out later, Felix Escalona doubled home a pair of runs to make it 3-0.
The Devil Rays were leading 3-2 when Toby Hall's two-out single in the sixth brought Sandberg to the plate. Recalled from Class AAA Durham on Tuesday, the third baseman deposited a 1-0 offering from Sturtze over the left field wall.
Rookie Rocco Baldelli had a solo homer in the seventh and drove in a run with a bunt in the ninth as the Devil Rays won for the third time in four games.
Tampa Bay starter Joe Kennedy (3-3) bounced back from the worst outing of his career and allowed three runs and seven hits in six innings. The lefthander struck out five, walked three and improved to 6-0 in 10 lifetime games against Toronto.
