Florida 7; Houston 5

PHOENIX, April 30 (UPI) -- Byung-Hyun Kim fell victim to a pair of homers Tuesday night as he suffered his National League-leading fifth loss, a 7-5 setback to the Florida Marlins.

It was a continuation of a plague for Kim, who gave up three memorable home runs as a reliever in the 2001 World Series.

Kim (1-5) has surrendered a homer in every game he has lost. He struck out seven in five innings, but gave up a two-run homer to Todd Hollandsworth in the second inning and a three-run shot to Alex Gonzalez in the third.

Florida, which learned earlier in the day that A.J. Burnett could miss up to 18 months following elbow surgery, got a solid pitching performance from Mark Redman (3-2). The southpaw was dominant in seven scoreless innings, allowing only three hits.

He did not walk a batter and struck out five.

Mike Lowell added a two-run homer off rookie reliever Steven Randolph in the seventh inning, his seventh of the season.

Arizona got on the board in the eighth inning on RBI singles by Craig Counsell and Junior Spivey off Tim Spooneybarger. Lyle Overbay added a run-scoring hit off Armando Almanza to cap the rally.

Spivey knocked in another run with a two-out single in the ninth inning against Braden Looper, and Luis Gonzalez knocked in Spivey with a double. Gonzalez advanced to third on a single by Danny Bautista, but Looper regrouped to end the game.
